The New Taste of SA at the Royal Adelaide Show.

Catch the rising stars of SA's foodie scene at The New Taste of SA pavillion

Brand South Australia is partnering with the Royal Adelaide Show again in 2026, supporting emerging South Australian food and beverage businesses through The New Taste of SA.

There’s nothing quite like the Royal Adelaide Show for bringing South Australians together, and this year, Showgoers will have the chance to discover some of the state’s emerging food and beverage talent.

The New Taste of SA, supported by Brand SA, is an initiative helping businesses that have been operating for under three years tell their story, showcase their products and get them directly into the hands of thousands of potential customers.

Brand SA has been involved with the Royal Adelaide Show for the past few years, most recently supporting the iconic Yellow Brick Road, a rite of passage for generations of South Australian families.

This year, the partnership is taking a new flavour, with Brand SA helping up-and-coming local businesses showcase products that could become our next South Australian icons.

Putting new SA businesses in the spotlight

The New Taste of SA builds on the success of Buy SA Week, where Brand SA highlighted established South Australian producers. This time, the focus is on businesses at the beginning of their journey — giving them a platform to connect with new customers and build their brands.

The participating businesses will be showcased in the Taste SA Pavilion, presented by Drakes Supermarkets, where Showgoers can discover, taste and talk to the people behind some of South Australia’s newest products.

Veghead Founder Cath Hosking said the opportunity was a chance to connect directly with families and share the business’s mission.

“Being part of Taste SA at the Royal Adelaide Show is an incredible opportunity to bring our mission to life: getting more veggies into more families by making veggies delicious,” said Cath.

“We’re so proud to be building Veghead right here in South Australia and sharing it with families at the Show.”

For Naturi Vermouth owner Richard Gunner, the opportunity offers valuable exposure while allowing a new business to learn from customers.

“At Naturi we are thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of The New Taste of SA stand and showcase our modern vermouth to a huge range of potential customers which only the Royal Adelaide Show provides,” said Richard.

“As a new business this program gives us a chance to see what works and doesn’t without the commitment of having to staff a stand for the entire Show hopefully we can learn enough to come back again next year.”

Chimmy founders Gee and Nicole said the opportunity can help young businesses overcome one of their biggest challenges — getting their products in front of new customers.

“The New Taste of SA is the reason we could actually be at the Royal Adelaide Show. The opportunity puts real product in the hands of thousands of people who’ve never heard of us. This is one of the hardest bridges any small business has to cross, and that’s the kind of support that moves the needle when you’re starting out.”

A pop-up with purpose

The New Taste of SA is designed to be a stepping stone for young South Australian businesses. Businesses can exhibit for a day or two, meet new people, showcase their products and learn directly from the people tasting them.

As part of the partnership, Brand SA covers half of the exhibition fees, helping make it more achievable for young businesses to take part. For the businesses involved, exhibiting is about more than selling products. It’s an opportunity to meet customers, get real-time feedback and share the passion and story behind their brand.

And for Showgoers, it’s a chance to discover something new, and perhaps find their next local favourite.

Come and support South Australia’s home-grown talent and taste the next generation of local icons at the Royal Adelaide Show.
